Thanks to all of you for your comments on the diaper changing table! I don’t think peter and i could ever afford something like that but have thought about making something! i know for sure though that I am not talented enough to do it but maybe Peter could pull something together! I’ll have to try to convince him!
I’ve been doing some work on a project for tomorrow so hopefully this week will hurry by cause my sleep keeps getting shorter and shorter each night! I just want to snuggle up right now in my diaper! it is the best feeling in the entire world! Especially when there is a good late night movie on and I love the feeling of falling asleep with the TV on and then waking up three hours later turning it off then going back to sleep. Alright, so you can say I’m a dork 🙂 haha
Alrighty well time to finish this up and TRY to get some sleep!
Hugs! Sweetdreams!.
Well good luck with the sleep! I know I sleep so much better when i’m in a comfy diaper. It also doesn’t hurt when the wife comes back from a late night feeding for our 6 month old and when she gets into bed, she starts to rub and pat the back of my diaper like we do when we put the boys to sleep. It’s so relaxing to me and just feel so good!
As far as building a simple changing table like that, it’s really not that hard! 🙂 I build stuff all the time, and I can promise you it wouldn’t be that hard. You can use the guys at Home Depot, or Lowes to cut the boards for you even! Otherwise, you can just find simple pre-fabricated parts and just use those! Either way, its just something for you to think about if you wanted to look into actually making it!
goodnight stacey, i hope u sleep well tonight.
Stacey and Peter, AKbound is correct!
A good starting point for a changing station would be pre-made kitchen cabinets. Many places sell those, especially home improvement centers. They come in various sizes and styles. Look for lower cabinets designed to support a counter top, pic a combination that is deep and long enough so the top is 6′ by at least 24″
Since the top will have a pad, it could be a simple piece of 3/4″ plywood, although if you wanted this cabinet to sometimes not look like a changing table it might be worth the money to get a counter top with Formica. Futons work as the pad.
Good luck
