So many of you may not know that I am an “amateur” (keyword there) photographer. Trying to learn how to take nice photos and all that jazz! Anyways, I was reading my photography book and I had just finished changing my diaper so I figured I would use the Bambino Diaper as a object for taking photos. Nothing too exciting but I figured I would post a few photos of the diaper after I had taken it off.

I know they are not that great…but hey, I was bored and I am practicing. Lighting could be better but it hasn’t been sunny here very much lately and my rooms don’t exactly get the greatest lighting. Plus, I am still learning how to use this camera. Oh well, I am sure skill will come with time…hopefully!
Also, new feature coming soon to this blog that will allow you to register a username..
No bad photos at all 🙂 I like the angle of the picture and the result is very good.
I think the lighting is good. Amateur photographer myself lol.
very nice pictures. Are they the wet diapers
Yes, they are only wet.
Cool. They look like a work of art
The pictures are great, would love to see more. Love the blog as well.
I would have to say the first photo is the best out of them all. The center of focus is that little flower in the middle, but your eyes move over to the word baby right under it, which is obviously beneficial to the entire composition. But it really depends on what you’re going for in the image, what you’re trying to show/say. Well no, I’m not gunna press ya too hard on this lol. 😛 I’ll stop there, I could probably go on and on about it. Overall it’s a very nice picture, and I love the field of focus. I think it’d look even better with some more things in the background, out of focus of course, but like a baby bottle or a paci. Just to help the overall composition of the photo. 🙂 Keep it up Adrian!
The lighting is good, but I think more importantly they’re much more…candid…shots of the Bambinos than we normally see. They’re not being worn, they’re not folded up. Its the end product, so to speak (no pun intended), and it really showcases the baby-ish look of the diapers.
Good shooting, Adrian!
definatly interesting photos. I think you are a fine photographer. good work 🙂
I always read Ken Rockwell’s site when i need photography advice. He has the most down to earth, practical photography advice I have ever seen.

the best advice, just have fun, take a bunch of pictures, and make a ton of mistakes (to get better).
I think the last picture is the best. Like the way it is lies and the angle. What kind of camera are you using? I don’t think it is a small compac camera because of the quality of the picture, but I can be wrong.
I don’t know if taking pictures of a dirty diaper counts as art.
Darkfinn I would agree with you except where I am from there is an art gallery that does new showings now and then. The last one was about contemporary stuff. Seriously there was one exhibit of a toy truck with blocks beside it. Thats all it was and people were talking like “I wonder what the artist is trying to tell us in this piece”. Art takes many forms i guess. Some of people understand it some people don’t. I don’t understand it all the time either but photography is a form of art to me at least.
Darkfinn – you sure can be critical sometimes 😉
Hey!
It’s a great photos 🙂 but i like to see into a diaper it’s more beautiful, with more light ! ! !
If you can take it and post it, it will be goob.
Sorry for my inglish i’m french.
I like the second one the best. It shows how much you peed in the diaper, and how swollen it is. It makes me want to touch the warm, squishy surface and hear the diaper crinkle (they crinkle so much better when they are wet).
very nice…
eeeeyikes.
Nice photos Adrian. I’d love to see some more like this. I think you could get really inventive with this theme too. Like having a clean diaper sitting on top of a folded onesie with some powder and wipes out of focus in the background. Kinda like telling a story. I noticed ‘Awesomeness787’ made a similar suggestion. Keep up the good work!
Not to bad.
The most useful camera book I found is called “Understanding Exposure” by Bryan Peterson.
The best lighting trick I’ve found is to use the light from a single window to cast light on the subject from the side. Or similarly, an outdoor shot where there is a roof over the subject and the only light comes in from the sides. Pictures look flat when they are lit from all sides. Having strong side light with just enough fill light around creates shadows that give the appearance of depth. A white piece of material or poster board placed on the subjects other side will reflect some light and work as fill.
The photos show action, or rather the end result of it. Getting the printed areas so clearly focused is a nice touch- the colors add life to the scenes. Good work, Adrian
The photos have broken 🙁 x
One thing I love almost as much as big Teddy Bears is a wet diaper…:)
