Wearing Baby Diapers : The Skinny On This Fad

Wearing Baby Diapers

Wearing baby diapers seems to be a common trend I have noticed around the adult baby and diaper lover community. I have noticed people shoving themselves into these tiny little diapers. I have seen even some women wearing baby diapers that actually look like they fit in them because they are so skinny. Even some men too.

I have tried wearing baby diapers before and honestly, I am not sure what the fuss is all about. The baby diapers fit me fine actually without stretching the sides around much because I am so skinny I guess. But, wearing baby diapers did nothing for me. Where was the bulky feeling? Where was the absorbency? Where was that comfort feeling? I didn’t feel that same feeling that I get when I stick on a Bambino Diaper or Abena Abri-Form Adult Diaper. That feeling was missing. Maybe it was the lack of padding or the feeling that I knew that wearing a baby diaper would not provide me any protection at all.

I get it though for those people that can fit into a baby diaper. They like that true “baby look” that comes with the Pampers and Huggies baby diapers or even the store brand diapers. But, I guess the fact that most people have to modify the wings of the baby diaper to actually wear it sort of defeats some of the special aspects of wearing a nice clean diaper. I much prefer to stick on a Bambino Diaper or another adult diaper that feels soft and cushy. I also like to feel like if I were to have an accident that the diaper would be able to absorb the urine. The baby diapers were designed for small children that do not have the same bladder size nor urine output as an adult. So, in that regard it sort of defeats the purpose to me.

I personally do not like to have to modify a diaper in order to wear it. If I have to apply duct tape to even an adult diaper to keep it on then I don’t like it. There is just something about wearing a clean unmodified adult diaper to me that feels secure and comforting. As an incontinent girl, wearing baby diapers does not provide the protection that I personally require. Outside of the emotional factor of wearing a diaper, baby diapers just do not provide the necessary absorbency and security that I need if I were to have an accident. Plus, as silly as it may sound I enjoy the slight bulk of an adult diaper.

I think what most people who wear baby diapers get out of it is that it brings them truly back to “babyhood” because you are actually using the real baby diaper. I get it. But, I guess at what point do you realize that you can’t fit into the baby diapers anymore and maybe it is time to graduate up to a more babyish adult diaper such as Bambino Diapers, ABUniverse Diapers, Tena Slip Maxi, or Abena.

  1. yeah I know I fit in goodnights but its not much fun with all the leaks

  2. i totally agree with you i went a non tampered with diaper and I love the adult diapers they are so cute and snug to my butt:)

  3. I haven’t worn baby diapers since I was a baby. If they were in adult sizes, particularly in Large or bigger, I might consider trying some. Even if they were sold under a different name, they’d still have the look of something infantile. :)

  4. I have not tried a toddler diaper as I am sure that my hips are too wide to secure it properly. It’s not that I’m not “skinny” (115-120 lbs) but my hips are definitely curvy,.. I’ve used cloth most of the time over many years, though am using Abena X-Plus much more lately due to some skin problems. I’m still using cloth at night however, which for me works best. For me it’s ALL about staying dry, clean, and comfortable. I’m still having rash issues!!!

    • Hi Ellyn, I have posted here about a product called caldasen powder. You can look it up on the net and find it at the present time I have no idea where else you may find it.

      • Hi Drew,

For right now Ellyn was advised against powders but Caldascene is what I use at night along with Micro-Guard (Coloplast). Both are VERY good when the skin doesn’t have a bad rash. If it does, stay away :)

        Take care,
        Colin

  5. Yeah, I like soft and cushy better too^_^.

  6. The last time I was in a baby diaper was when I was in childhood. I outgrew pampers around the age of 7 and my mom switched over to exclusively cloth diapers and plastic pants until I stopped wetting the bed. I missed my pampers but they did not fit me and it wasn’t until college that I discovered adult disposable diapers made in my size. When I tried my first attend plastic backed disposable, I was in heaven and they reminded me of my pampers wore in the 1970s. Flash forward to today and I am happy in my babyish looking Bambino diapers because they are so much like my pampers baby diapers from my youth – only with cute designs. Bambinos are so thick and absorbent, and I love the crinkle sound they make just like the old style baby disposable diapers. Just like Adrian, I don’t get trying to squeeze into diapers designed for a baby’s body when we have great choices in adult diapers which are designed to feel babyish too.

  7. O M G! THANKYOU ADRIAN! I have met, and even have friends that love absolutely love baby diapers and I never got it either. I’d like to think I have a very good perspective on things especially because…well…I started with baby diapers.
I was the one attempting to fit into pampers, huggies, etc. This evolved into modifying the baby diapers to fit in them and subsequently the inevitable move to adult diapers. After a time, modifying diapers is sooooo annoying, soooo bothersome, tiring, and for me I totally welcomed the adult diapers that wrapped around me fully, that felt like substantial padding and covering. When i got that feeling it was inredible.
I keep telling a friend of mine to just get adult diapers. She seems to think that those adult brands she won’t use up as much and as a result are a waste. I disagree personally because I find that the full on protection and feel is great.
My only question is….why is the cute factor of a baby diaper so appealing as to sacrifice, fit, comfort, absorbancy and the ‘no need to modify’ factor?
An if folks really like the fit, why do they like it so much more?

  8. I don’t wear or use baby diapers. I don’t fit into them. I’m skinny but still can’t fit into them. A youth diaper can fit me. I don’t use them as stuffer either. They can’t hold an adult wetting. To me a baby diaper is made for a baby not an adult who could fit into them so they can use it. Get an adult baby diaper like bambino.

  9. I think for some people, the like to wear baby diapers, but can’t realize that they don’t fit them anymore.

  10. I fit into baby diapers just fine. I don’t like adult diapers because they’re simply too big for me. They don’t make me feel babyish at all. Although, baby diapers do. Some do take a whole wetting, too. Adult diapers are attractive, but I like the way baby diapers feel better than the way adult diapers do. They just seem comfier to me. I’m not gonna judge anybody based on what kind of diaper they wear though. People like different things.
